Little Mix was formed on Britain's The X Factor in 2011 and after numerous hits and awards, Jesy Nelson has decided to leave the group.

The Announcement

The Brit Award winning group took to all of its outlets of social media to announce the leave. Their statement quotes,

"We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being."

The girls go on to explain that they are in full support of this leave, as it is what Nelson needs to keep her mental health in check. The three also make it clear that they are not done with their journey and plan to continue making music with one another.

Nelson's Personal Statement

Nelson released her personal statement via Instagram reiterating the reason behind her leave. Nelson hopes to spend time with the ones she loves and improving upon her mental health moving forward.

She quotes,

"The truth is recently being in the band has really taken on a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard."

Nelson wishes the best for the women of Little Mix and thanks them for the countless memories.
