Get Ready Vegas, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is Here!

This may be the first time that ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! is doing a week in Vegas, but Jimmy Kimmel is no stranger to is his hometown! Jimmy has been dreaming about bringing his talk show back home for a long time, and Planet Hollywood is making it a reality for the week. Celebrity Page correspondent Sean McAllister is one on one with the star discussing all of the details.

“It’s expensive to put it together, but I just said, you know what, I really would like to do the show here, we’re opening a comedy club here at the LINQ, so it just all kind of came together,” says Jimmy.

Since the funny man grew up in Vegas, the week-long stand is turning into a family affair. Cleto and the Cletones, Jimmy's in-house band, even includes family and friends from Jimmy's childhood, like his neighbor Cleto Escobedo Jr.!

“His (Cleto's) dad is in the band, my cousin Mickey, theres a lot people from Vegas coming back to Vegas, there's going to be a lot of relatives.”

Jimmy's relatives being in the show is a common occurrence. However, Jimmy tells Sean that he has been casting his family for decades. Some family members though are not so thrilled about being on the small screen.

“If you really don’t want to be on TV, I am going to insist you be on TV."

 Jimmy Kimmel's New Comedy Club

With the show performing in Vegas, it seemed like a perfect time to announce the opening of his comedy club, Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club. Jimmy reveals to Sean that he has always wanted to open a venue in his hometown.

“I really just am looking forward to it being open."

Jimmy's comedy club will open May 2nd at the LINQ Promenade on the Las Vegas Strip. It will be the perfect place to have a drink, watch sports, and see some great comedians! Until then, make sure to watch Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC.
