Joel Corry Lights Up Las Vegas On First USA Nationwide Tour

His head and heart took over the states!

We'd rather be with Joel Corry tonight!

As a DJ from the United Kingdom, the USA finally had the chance to see the star live in a select few cities across the country.

After kicking off his tour in Los Angeles, the star took his place at the Fremont Stage as one of the headliners at this year's Life is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas.

"This is a big moment for me. It's my first big show in the US and my first actual US tour. It's always been a dream for me to play in America, so this literally feels like a dream come true," Corry said.

The star used all of his underground experience performing at clubs across the UK to prep for his set at LIB.

"A festival is a big crowd, so it's all about bangers. You only get an hour, so it's quick bangers to keep the energy going and make the most out of the 60 minutes I got. Picture energy, hands in the air, banger after banger."

Speaking of banger after banger, the DJ dropped a slew of hits throughout the pandemic, including "Head & Heart," "BED," and "OUT OUT."

"I still find it mad that people over here listen to my music, it's just crazy! Obviously with the pandemic, I had to take a step back from touring, because all my gigs were canceled for like a whole year. I think the silver lining for me was getting to spend more time in the studio. Production wise, it was a great year for me."

That's the truth! Corry's first release during lockdown, "Head & Heart," reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in July 2020, becoming the first chart-topper for Corry in his native country.

"It was obviously a very special record for me. It's a global hit record. It's one of those tracks that's timeless and I'm super proud of it. People love it over here as well, which I've witnessed during my first couple of sets on my tour!"

Corry kept his momentum going with his next single, "BED," where he teamed up with one of his heroes, David Guetta.

"I first heard the demo at a studio session and as soon as I heard it, I knew I had to work on it. David knew who I was and he's a big fan of 'Head & Heart,' so that was the start of the 'BED' journey. I worked so hard on that record. I spent months and months refining it until it was ready. When it dropped, it felt like a really big moment for me."

The star just wrapped up his first nationwide tour in the U.S. and performed at some of the biggest cities including New York City, Boston, Denver, Miami, Los Angeles, San Diego and more.

"I'm a DJ at heart, so I was so eager to get back out there. I just feel like I'm on top of the world right now and super grateful to be in this position. I was a club DJ for ten years. Now, I'm in America. If you were to tell me that three years ago, I wouldn't have believed you."

If you missed Corry on his first run, you're still in luck. The DJ will be returning in November for more dates. In the meantime, he's working on some new music.

"I'm finishing up my new single this week. I'm going to get it out before Christmas. I can't say too much more than that, but there is new music coming. This song that I'm bringing out... I've been working on it for maybe three years. I'm so happy that I've made this next one happen now, because I put so much love into it. It's a special song to me. I hope people are going to love it."
