Fashion magazine W Magazine, now called W Media, is currently being acquired by a group of investors from different industries, including models, filmmakers, and race car drivers.

The Investors

The acquisition of W Media was done virtually. Editor Sara Moonves, says that the meetings were all done over Zoom. Moonves has been editor since 2019, and her role will remain the same after the investments. She met model and Project Runway host Karlie Kloss in 2009 and worked with her in order to get a group of investors together.

The investors include model and daughter of Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber, movie and television producer Jason Blum, and race car driver Lewis Hamilton.

W Media and Bustle Digital Group

Bustle Digital Group, that runs the digital publication founded in 2013, Bustle, has been put in charge of operations and sales for W Media. BDG CEO, Bryan Goldberg, is in charge as managing partner.
