Keegan-Michael Key

Actor Keegan-Michael Key is the star of a new scripted podcast series, Aaron Mahnke's 13 Days of Halloween coming to iHeartRadio.

Horror film production studio Blumhouse and iHeartRadio have a new podcast set to premiere on October 18. A new episode will be released on each of the 13 days leading up to Halloween.

The podcast comes from veteran producer and host Aaron Mahnke the creator and producer of the horror and supernatural podcast Lore. Key is the voice of the "caretaker" of a purgatorial hotel called Hawthorne Manor while listeners play the role of the hotel's newest guest. This puts them at the core of the scary new tale everyday.

In a press release President of Blumhouse Television Jeremy Gold shared:

"With people staying home this Halloween, we thought listeners would appreciate getting lost in this world with us and having a taste of the spooky spirit of this holiday."

Episodes will be available on the iHeartRadio app and other major podcast platforms. Blumhouse has released many favorite horror films including Get Out, The Purge, The Gift, and Ma. Key has been known to star in films like Toy Story 4, Dolemite Is My Name, and Playing with Fire. He is set to star in two films coming to Netflix including Jingle Jangle and The Prom directed by Ryan Murphy.

In the same press release the President of the iHeartPodcast Network Conal Byrne stated:

"With 13 Days of Halloween, we're partnering with the best talent in horror to create something special, with deeply haunting stories and ambitious sound technology that makes the experience that much better."

We can't wait to hear this new terrifying tale.
