NBC is bringing back the beloved game show "Password," and Keke Palmer is set to host!

NBC announced the news of the revival on Tuesday. The game show is en route for a summer premiere and an eight-episode contract with Jimmy Fallon serving as the executive producer.

"Password" originally aired on CBS from 1961-1967 before being picked up by ABC from 1971-1975. NBC later aired two revivals of the show, "Password Plus" (1979-1982) and "Super Password" (1984-1989). CBS once again reprised the show with "Million Dollar Password," airing from 2008-2009.

Fallon renewed interest among modern audiences of the popular game by featuring it as a reoccurring segment on 'The Tonight Show' throughout the past decade. Fallon will once again be joining the action, serving not only as executive producer, but as a contestant, playing in each of the games.

The show will see teams of celebrities and contestants face off for cash prizes as they try to guess a secret password from only one-word clues.

In a special premiere episode, "Password" will honor the late comedic legend, Betty White, who has been regarded as one of "Password's" greatest players. White passed away on Dec. 31, 2021 at the age of 99. The season will see celebrities playing on behalf of charities.
