Kelly Clarkson Appears as a Guest on Her Own Show During Quarantine with Kids

Kelly Clarkson Can't Stop Watching 'Encanto' And 'Castle' Re-Runs

Kelly Clarkson called into her own talk show on Tuesday, Feb. 15 to give fans an update on life in quarantine with her two kids.

The singer and talk show host spoke to Taraji P. Henson, who is currently filling in as the guest host for Clarkson.

Clarkson appeared make-up free, with a green bathrobe and a satin eye mask that read, "Shhhh."

"Sometimes women don't rise, Taraji. Sometimes we fall," joked Clarkson at her appearance.

She continued,

"I thought we were done with quarantining, and I'm so tired. I broke a nail. I'm so broken. This is me broken. All my makeup is expired. America, this is what I look like. You're welcome."

Although Clarkson did not reveal why she was quarantining she did tell Henson she, herself, was not sick.

"We're keeping it safe and that's it," she said.

Henson explained why she was guest hosting earlier in the episode.

"There are strict health protocols here on the show," and if anyone is exposed to COVID, "you got to stay home, even if you are Kelly Clarkson."

While in quarantine, Clarkson revealed that she and her two children, daughter River, 7, and son Remington, 5, have been watching Disney's Encanto on repeat.

“When I watch a movie with my children, it’s like watching three movies,” explained Clarkson. “We’re watching ‘Encanto’ and then you’re listening to my son who always leaves mid-movie and just starts singing the soundtrack, and then you have River who literally just, right after the line is said, she just repeats like she’s memorizing dialogue for a play.”

Clarkson also joked about the fact that she still had her Christmas tree up along with all of her Christmas decorations.

"I have, not...look. It's busy, okay. There's a lot going on. And so, I have not had time...I have all my stuff up," Clarkson told Taraji, before showing a picture of her tree.
"You know what, judge away, America! I'm used to it," the singer added.
