A while back, it was reported that Michael Jordan himself would be the one to induct Kobe Bryant into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame at the ceremony on Saturday. In the wake of the icon's passing last February, Jordan gave a speech the world would never forget, and now we'll honor Bryant one last time when he's immortalized in basketball history.

In an interview with the Hall of Fame, Vanessa and Natalia, the late legend's wife and child, commented on the affair, saying, "It's an incredible accomplishment, and honor, and we're extremely proud of him. Obviously we wish that he was here with us to celebrate".

This induction class is legendary. Between Kobe, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Garnett, this group has amassed 48 All-Star appearances, 11 championships, and four MVP awards.

MTV TV and Movie Awards

Speaking of special honors, MTV has so much golden popcorn to give out this year, the show is being stretched to two nights! Rather than attempt a multiple venue show like the Oscars or the Golden Globes, they're choosing to make the show two nights to conform to COVID-19 protocols.

Two Hosts??

For night one, we have SNL staple and movie star Leslie Jones and the hysterical Netflix and Roast legend Nikki Glaser for night two. Night one will cover films and scripted shows, and night two focuses on reality shows.

Ryan Murphy's Halston

TV is also having quite the week, with Ryan Murphy dropping his new series Halston starring Ewan McGregor this week!

Beginnings and Ends

But, as Halston begins, we say goodbye to some shows as well. CBS is saying farewell to NCIS: New Orleans at the same time Fox says a final goodbye to Tim Allen's Last Man Standing. Look for those finales next Thursday!
