Musician Brian Newman is bringing his shows back to the NoMad Library at the Park MGM in Las Vegas. The longtime friend and band leader for Lady Gaga spoke with Advocate Channel ahead of his return performance hinting at special guest appearances.

After putting shows on pause due to the pandemic, jazz musician Brian Newman and his bandmates are set to return "After Dark" to Las Vegas starting this Thursday.

Newman got his big break when Lady Gaga asked him to be her band leader after years of collaboration and friendship.

"We met when she was a GoGo dancer down on the lower east side," he said of the "Shallow" singer. "We were both playing music and then she would start calling me for guest spots with her on her concerts, playing a couple jazz tunes. Now we're in Vegas with a 30-piece orchestra and doing Radio City with Tony(Bennett)."

Lady Gaga has more than once made surprise appearances at Newman's shows. So, now that he's returning to Vegas, many are wondering if she'll be back too?

"We have special guests, and you never know who's gonna show up," he told Advocate Channel. "We wouldn't have the amount of fans we have if it wasn't for Lady Gaga. She's been such an important part of my life. She's an incredible person."

His shows are scheduled for August 12-14 and August 19-21 at 11:30 p.m at the NoMad Library inside the Park MGM. Tickets are on sale now.
