Switched Before Birth follows Olivia Crawford (Skyler Samuels) and her husband Brian (Bo Yokely, as they go head-to-head with Anna Ramirez (Justina Machado) over custody of a baby after an IVF mistake.

When Olivia and Brian finally welcome their twins, the happy couple's world is turned upside down when they discover that not only are the babies not twins, but one of the babies is also biologically Anna's that was implanted into Olivia by mistake.

"Drama ensues whenever both couples start IVF. Mistakes are made and then the question is raised as to, what does it mean to be a parent," Yokely said.

Now pitted against each other, Olivia will do anything to keep the baby that she carried, while Anna will stop at nothing to bring her son home.

"I think a lot of people may know what IVF is, maybe... but they don't really truly know what goes into it. People actually go through this. I did not know the level of pain and anguish and turmoil and guilt that people go through. I love being able to be a part of something that is going to drive focus towards something that maybe doesn't have as much attention on it as it should."

Switched Before Birth airs October 23rd on Lifetime.
