Lil Nas X Hits the Road for First Tour of Career

LONG LIVE MONTERO TOUR!

Despite winning Grammys, going double platinum, and performing on some of the biggest stages in the world, Lil Nas X has never toured before. Until now.


The rapper announced that he will be embarking this Fall on the "Long Live Montero" tour, which will make stops all across North America and Europe.

The tour is connected to his Grammy-nominated album "Montero," which features the Billboard number one hit "Industry Baby." The musician announced the news with a promotional video, where he stated,

"i'm having my very first tour. and all of u better come or i will cry on instagram live."

Lil Nas X, who is openly gay, referred to the tour as "my event . . . my world, my universe," before declaring in the voiceover,

"Everyone's allowed, except gay people."

The North American leg begins in Detroit September 6, and will make stops all across the United States and Canada before wrapping up in San Francisco on October 23. The European leg kicks off afterwards on November 8 in Amsterdam and concludes November 17 in Barcelona.

As for who will be opening for him, Montero says,

"trying really hard to get the wiggles to coheadline the tour with me. i will keep you guys updated."

The Wiggles were quick to respond,

“We’re ready to wiggle with you!”

Tickets for the North American dates go on sale to the general public Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. local time; all European dates will be available starting Friday, May 6th at 10 a.m. local time.
