Pump Restaurant

Entrepreneur, television personality, actress, and author Lisa Vanderpump announced that her restaurants will now be following a mask mandate.

The restaurants are requiring a false Covid-19 test or proof of vaccination at the door starting today. This standard has been growing in popularity across the country as the Delta variant continues to impact people across the globe.

Vanderpump's restaurants "Pump" and "Tom Tom" have both posted this message on Instagram, confirming these policies and receiving mixed reactions. This requirement is polarized just like how the vaccine is, those that are vaccinated seem to support the decision and have no problem with showing their cards while others are saying that they will not be returning anytime soon.

This news is also relevant to Las Vegas as Vanderpump announced that she is opening a second French themed restaurant on the strip this winter.

"We are so excited to be expanding in Las Vegas, and Vanderpump à Paris has been a passion project of ours for a long time,. After living in France for many years, it has been such an incredible journey to make our ideas a reality and, working with our extraordinary design partner Nick Alain, we have created a design unlike anything we've ever seen, with epic visual statements — it is our hope to bring the stunning visuals of Paris into the heart of Las Vegas."

She and her husband own 4 restaurants on the strip so far and it will be interesting to see if they will implement a mask mandate. Her husband seems to disagree with this decision but state policy also may force restaurants to comply with this rule.

Get ready for some fine dining in Vegas as the Vanderpump restaurant gets closer to opening! Hopefully the mask mandate is ended soon but for right now, the staff and management have decided that this is the safest path forward as the Delta variant continues to grow.
