The Countess is owning up to her actions after a boozy night out on the town in NYC.

The Real Housewives of New York star hit Townhouse, a gay NYC piano bar, last week with "Kinky Boots" producer Jim Kierstead.

According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Page Six, Luann de Lesseps, who has her own cabaret show, showed up to the cocktail lounge already intoxicated. She proceeded to grab the mic and sing various songs.

Her tunes however, were met with a less than welcome response from the crowd, as they booed her performance. De Lesseps allegedly cursed out the crowd before being escorted out of the bar.

On March 18th, de Lesseps issued an apology via Instagram, where she acknowledged her ongoing struggles with alcohol, saying she was "faced with the truth."

"This week, after a regrettable incident I was faced with the truth," she shared."I want to apologize to the staff at Townhouse and anyone else I may have offended with my behavior. Clearly my struggles with alcohol are real!"

The 56-year-old, "Money Can't Buy You Class" singer, continued,

"While I've made great strides over the years, there's been times I've fallen. It's one day at a time! I'm in recovery and taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen again."
"It's one day at a time!" she concluded. "I'm in recovery and taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen again. I'm grateful to my family and my friends for their constant support."

The star's apology post was met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and friends alike, including multiple women from the Real Housewives franchise and Bravo community, such as Margaret Josephs, Lisa Rinna, Marysol Patton, Kyle Richards and more.

Patton commented,

"Always loving you ❤️ always 💪🏼"

While Richards wrote,

"Sending you so much love and support 🙏❤️"

According to de Lesseps' account of the night, which she shared with Page Six, she was out celebrating before she stepped onto the scene of Townhouse.

"I was at rehearsals all day yesterday, then went to dinner with Broadway producers," she said. "We were in a celebratory mood and drinking champagne."

De Lesseps explained that after she and Kierstead arrived, there was a bunch of people singing and she decided to join in on the action following her friend's suggestion.

"I realize I was a little bit tipsy," she said, "but we were having fun, and it was getting late."

De Lesseps denies being escorted from the bar, saying that Kierstead had early rehearsals the next morning and so the two left together.

Kierstead echoed the reality star's account of the night, telling Page Six he and de Lesseps went out for a "nightcap."

"She was met by legions of her fans and was convinced to sing for them," said Kierstead.
"I was finally able to bring her home as I had an early morning Thursday for the workshop of a new musical," he continued. "Of course she was the belle of the ball as usual."

de Lesseps' eventful night out comes more than four years after a previous 2017 incident with alcohol led to an arrest. She was staying at a hotel in Palm Beach, FL, when she allegedly kicked a police officer while severely intoxicated. The Countess pled guilty to battery, disorderly intoxication, and trespassing.

As part of a plea deal, the star was required to complete 50 hours of community service and to attend two Alcohol Anonymous meetings a week in NY while on probation for a year.

The Bravo Star, who checked herself into rehab after the 2017 arrest, returned once again in the summer of 2018.
