In his new Hulu documentary "Machine Gun Kelly's Life in Pink", Machine Gun Kelly recalls a grim moment between himself and fiancée Megan Fox where he held a shotgun to his mouth while on the phone with her.

On July 5, 2020, rather than celebrating the one year anniversary of his album "Hotel Diablo," MGK took to Twitter to announce the tragic death of his father, which over time, greatly impacted his mental health and wellbeing. The rapper, whose real name is Colson Baker, recounted those dark days in his documentary.

He recalls being alone on the night of the incident, as Megan had left to Bulgaria to film a movie.

"I started getting this really wild paranoia. Like, I kept getting paranoid that someone was gonna come and kill me."

He says he "always slept with a shotgun" by his bed, but one day, it all became too much to bear and he "just f**king snapped." MGK then picked up the phone and dialed Fox,

"I called Megan. I was like, 'You aren’t here for me.' I'm in my room and I'm, like, freaking out on her."

He continues,

"Dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth and I'm yelling on the phone and like the barrel's in my mouth. I go to cock the shotgun and the bullet, as it comes back up, the shell just gets jammed. Megan's like dead silent."

MGK says that day is what inspired him to put an end to his substance abuse, not only for himself, but for Fox and his 12 year-old daughter, Casie. He describes his fiancée as "the sun" in his life and the muse that moves him to write music.

"It's just like every fairy tale that they never told you in school. The passion between us is just otherworldly."
