In her teaser video, Carey revealed the major superstars in her special on AppleTV+ like Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland, The Peanuts Gang, Mykal-Michelle Harris, and Carey's twins Moroccan and Monroe. Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special will be about a crisis at the North Pole requiring help from Santa's friend, Carey to save the day. The Christmas special will be released on December 4 and there will be a companion soundtrack along with a new music video for "Oh Santa".

There's more! The soundtrack will be available exclusively on Apple Music the same day of the special, but available on other music streaming platforms the following week. The soundtrack will have new versions of holiday songs, including a rendition of "Sleigh Ride" featuring Snoop Dogg and Dupri on select tracks. Apple Music will also release a curated playlist that Carey created of her favorite holiday songs. She has an exclusive interview with Zane Lowe that will be available on December 7. Finally, Carey will appear on Apple Music Hits for a six-hour Holiday Hits special on Christmas Day sharing some of her favorite holiday memories. Other artists and hosts will share Christmas messages during the block.

The Queen Of Christmas Specials

Carey isn't a stranger when it comes to Christmas specials. In 2015, appeared on the Hallmark Channel with her special Mariah Carey's Merriest Christmas and the special is currently available on Netflix. In the same year Carey directed and starred in a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie "A Christmas Melody" starring alongside Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott, and Kathy Najimy.

In 2017 Universal Pictures released the animated feature, Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You. This animated feature was directed by Guy Vasilovich and is based on Carey's legendary Christmas song "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and is about a young Mariah wishing for a puppy for Christmas.

In 2019, Amazon released Mariah Carey is Christmas, a documentary project about her iconic song "All I Want for Christmas Is You." Catch up on all these festive Christmas specials now until Carey's new special!
