"You've been waiting for this," teases Johansson.

Here's a holiday you may not have expected to celebrate - National Superhero Day! On July 9th, Marvel is releasing a Black Widow featurette to commemorate the day.

The flick will cover Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson) and trace back in time to cover her distinguished career that made her the bad*** Marvel fans know and love.

The plot will follow a dangerous conspiracy roped into her past that arises, forcing Natasha to face her past and the broken relationships that arose before she became an Avenger.

"It's time for her story"

Johansson agrees that "it's time for her story."

The spy thriller is sure to be action-packed and will complete the story of Agent Romanoff's life. The film will also be the first of others to follow in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Alongside Johansson is a star-studded cast that includes Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina. The film's director is Cate Shortland and the producer is Kevin Feige.

Johansson's last words? "You've been waiting for this."
