Actress and musician confirm the next step in their unconventional relationship.

Actress and fashion icon Megan Fox and musician Machine Gun Kelly are officially engaged.

The Jennifer's Body star took to Instagram Tuesday to announce the big news.

"Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him."

The two became engaged under the same tree they "fell in love under" a year and a half after meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass. Their relationship was officially confirmed when Fox appeared in the music video for Kelly's "Bloody Valentine." Fox shared the video of the proposal on January 11, as Kelly shared a video of the ring he specially designed for Fox.

"The emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love."

The pair has had a passionate yet unconventional relationship, often finding themselves in the tabloids. We all remember Kelly's blood necklace, a pendant he wears every day with a drop of Fox's blood in it. Their engagement was not spared from the theatrics, nor the blood. Fox also shared,

And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.…and then we drank each other’s blood

To each their own.

Fox has three children from her eleven year marriage to actor Brian Austin Green. Kelly has never been married, but has a child from a previous relationship. Fox has referred to Kelly as her "twin flame," and describes a "love at first site" effect from when they first met.

The couple has yet to announce a date for their wedding, or any other details regarding it. For now, they're enjoying their engagement, and will share information as they see fit.
