Adam Levine joins Sirius XM in brand new interview!

Adam Levine joined SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM Hits 1 to promote Maroon 5's "Beautiful Mistakes", featuring Megan Thee Stallion!

The Morning Mashup, hosted by SiriusXM's Nicole Ryan, Ryan Sampson and Stanley T, interviewed Adam Levine about his collaboration with the grammy-winning artist.

Ryan immediately praised Megan Thee Stallion recognizing in her a stunning authenticity and asked Levine how the collaboration came about. Maroon 5's singer responded that Stallion felt right for the collaboration.

"She was like 'okay, I think this could be really cool' and you never know, but she was super cool about it."

And Levine shared his enthusiasm for working with her on both the song and the music video.

"When I first heard what she had done it was like... This is a whole other level now! And when we met, when we shot the video, she was like the coolest, super laid back, zero diva, just like super dope, like love her, adore her."

Levine also said that he's a great fan of Stallion and that mutual feeling really helped the entire process of collaboration.

"That type of chemistry is what I think can really propel something to like a special spot. It feels nice to know that it's a very real thing and we're both really pumped on it and super fans."

Sampson then asked Levine if he's going to perform at Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's wedding.

"So funny you mentioned them because I just texted them 10 minutes ago like 'I miss you guys. I love you guys' They're the best dude. I would love to, I'd be honored."

And Ryan joked about Shelton not being able to ask him: "he wouldn't be able to handle asking you to do it." But Levine replied:

"Not only would he be able to handle that, but he's already now. I was at home in quarantine watching late at night and he was on Seth Meyers and I'm like, 'Oh, look it's this asshole,' not Seth Meyers, Blake. And they're talking about marriage and he's like, 'I'm going to get Adam Levine to come and play. He doesn't know it yet.' And I'm like sitting there in bed, eating popcorn, and I'm like, 'man, fuck you, I'm not coming to play your wedding.'

Maroon 5's unexpected collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion is something we didn't know we needed. You can watch the music video below.
