If You Adore Nancy Drew, You’ll Also Love These Shows | Celebrity Page

The television series based on the mystery novel series will be back for another season - and if you like Nancy Drew, you'll like these other shows, too!

The CW has renewed the mystery drama series Nancy Drew for a second season. Until then, our friends at Ranker are spilling some recommendations for what other shows are worth binging on right now!

Charmed

It follows the lives of three sisters—Macy (Madeleine Mantock), Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery)—who, after the death of their mother discover they are The Charmed Ones, the most powerful trio of good witches, who are destined to protect innocent lives from demons and other dark forces. Each sister has an individual magical power, which is noticeably stronger when all three sisters work together as the "Power of Three" to defeat their enemies.

The L Word: Generation Q

The L Word: Generation Q is an American drama television series produced by Showtime that premiered on December 8, 2019. It's a sequel series to The L Word, which aired on Showtime from 2004 to 2009. A classic reboot of the LGBTQ show, it has a diverse cast and a focus on strong female characters.

American Horror Story

Each season is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a different set of characters and settings, and a storyline with its own "beginning, middle, and end." It has been predicted that fans of American Horror Story will also be fans of Nancy Drew - it also features tons of references to classic stories we all know and love, plenty of supernatural elements, and of course, a flair for the dramatics.

Riverdale

Riverdale features an ensemble cast based on the characters of Archie Comics, with KJ Apa in the role of Archie Andrews; Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, the series' narrator. Other characters in the series include Luke Perry as Fred Andrews, Mädchen Amick as Alice Cooper, Marisol Nichols and Mark Consuelos as Hermione and Hiram Lodge, and Skeet Ulrich as FP Jones.

Looking for Alaska

Looking for Alaska is based on the 2005 novel of the same name by John Green. After a film adaptation was repeatedly delayed at Paramount Pictures, Hulu aired the series on October 18, 2019.

The Bold Type

The Bold Type is inspired by the life and career of former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine Joanna Coles, who also serves as executive producer of the series. It chronicles the lives of three millennial women, portrayed by Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, and Meghann Fahy, all of whom are employed at a fictional global publication called Scarlet in New York City.
