The way you watch Netflix might be changing...

Netflix is experimenting with how they release shows, moving away from their "all-at-once" approach for TV seasons.

On Tuesday, the streaming service announced they are changing the way they will release the upcoming seasons of two popular shows, The Circle and Too Hot To Handle. Netflix's VP of unscripted and documentary series Brandon Riegg said in a statement:

"We're also experimenting with the release format so you have time to dissect and dish on every step of the competition as it unfolds. We'll debut several new episodes at a time on Wednesdays beginning with the first four episodes of The Circle on April 14. Once The Circle wraps in May, Too Hot to Handle takes over in June."

The "cluster" approach means that a few episodes, not all, are released once a week. This is similar to the way other platforms such as HBO Max release seasons of their shows, while Netflix has almost always stuck to a binge-able format for their content.

While the change is much different than what we might be used to, it could be a more immersive viewing experience for audiences- and lead to less time spent on the couch!
