Dolly Parton is a glowing guardian angel in her new Christmas special, while country star Garth Brooks releases his new album, Fun, along with Shawn Mendes giving us a new album and a personal documentary!


Dolly Parton's Twist On 'A Christmas Carol'

The hour-and-a-half long Christmas special brought to us by Dolly Parton shows Christine Boranski as a modern day female Ebenezer Scrooge while Parton is her guardian angel. Their co-star Treat Williams talks to Celebrity Page TV, telling us about the special:

"Dolly is great. If I had to describe it I'd say that it's like watching a Christmas movie in a Christmas globe - in a snow globe!"

Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square is available on Netflix starting November 22nd.

Garth Brooks Puts Out A New Album and a Box Set

Country musician Garth Brooks is chatting virtually with CPTV to tell us about his new projects. Her has just released a new album titled Fun with hits featuring Trisha Yearwood and Blake Shelton. Along with Fun, he is also releasing a box set, Triple G Live, with all of his greatest hits spanning over his 30+ year career. He tells us what we can expect from his new work and says:

"It's got 'Fun' on it, it has the 'Shallow' remake by miss Yearwood and myself, 'Dive Bar' with Blake Shelton and myself, 'All Day Long', 'Stronger Than Me', just a fun record. And then, of course you got 'Triple Live', it's got the entire career on it."

Both Fun and Triple G Live are available now.

Shawn Mendes Prepares To Release A New Album and a Documentary

While these new projects are still awaiting their releases, fans are looking forward to a new album and a new personal documentary from Shawn Mendes. First up is his documentary, titled In Wonder. Fans will see what life is like for the Señorita singer, performing for an arena of fans all with his girlfriend Camilla Cabello by his side. In Wonder will be available on Netflix starting November 23rd.

As for his upcoming album, Wonder will be released on December 4th. Out now are two songs from the record, a single of the same name and Monster featuring Justin Bieber. Mendes also recently put out a music video for the song, featuring the two heartthrobs.
