Paramount announced their entry into the streaming wars with Paramount+, with a lot of announcements of upcoming titles coming to the platform happening yesterday. Let's break down exactly what we can expect if you decided to purchase Paramount+ when it arrives on March 4th.
A Frasier Reboot

The massively popular sitcom Frasier will be returning to the airways with a brand new reboot to come along with the platform. Fans of the show had a damper put on their spirits when they learned Kelsey Grammer will be the only member of the main cast making a return, with David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, and and Peri Gilpin notably absent from the cast of the reboot.
But, keep your hopes high that the same brilliant faux high brow comedy will be making its thundering return to the airwaves in full force!
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Paramount owns Nickelodeon, which means Paramount owns Avatar: The Last Airbender. With Netflix creating a live action version of the series that co-creators Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn recused themselves from to the alarm of fans, it seems Paramount and Nick are putting control back in the hands of the visionaries themselves.
Nickelodeon announced the launch of Avatar Studios this morning, a division of their animation department solely committed to creating works surrounding the universe around ATLA and The Legend of Korra. The first thing ordered from Avatar Studios is reportedly a brand new movie, so get excited!
Spongebob Squarepants
Again, since Paramount owns Nickelodeon, that means a bunch of iconic childhood shows. That includes Spongebob Squarepants, which will make its way to the platform when its contract with Prime Video runs dry.
They've also reportedly ordered a live action series version of Dora the Explora and The Fairly Odd Parents, giving Disney+ a run for their money for which streaming service holds our childhood.
Criminal Minds
The insanely popular CBS show Criminal Minds will be resuscitated for the platform, in addition to all fifteen seasons of the original show being available exclusively on the platform.
A New Star Trek Universe
Star Trek will also be given several spinoff shows, the first of which being an animated series titled Star Trek: Prodigy.
