Paul Rudd

Paul Rudd has been gracing our screens for years creating some of the best characters in film and television. Celebrate his birthday with us as we take a trip down Rudd Memory Lane.

It's Paul Rudd's birthday and the best way to celebrate the Golden Globe nominated actor is by looking through his best characters in film and television.

Josh in Clueless (1995)

Rudd plays the charming love interest of Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) in the 90's smash Clueless. The college student and aspiring lawyer sees something in Cher that many don't give the time to discover. Their love is a slow burn with moments of flirtation that make Rudd one of the biggest heartthrobs in film.

Pete in 'Knocked Up' (2007) and 'This is 40' (2012)

Pete is the lone male wolf in his pack, surrounded by wife Debbie (Leslie Mann) and daughters Sadie (Maude Apatow) and Charlotte (Iris Apatow). Pete first appeared in another Judd Apatow film Knocked Up (2007) as Ben's (Seth Rogen) best friend. This is 40 follows the lives of Pete and Debbie as they navigate being 40-year-old parents.

Bobby Newport in 'Parks and Recreation' (2009-2015)

Bobby Newport is adorably oblivious, running against Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) for city council. The heir of Sweetums is running solely because his dad Nick Newport (Christopher Murray) told him to. Every character in Parks and Recreation but Bobby puts up a good fight during the close election, with Leslie taking the win.

Mr. Prince in 'The Little Prince' (2015)

The Little Prince follows a little girl (Mackenzie Foy) in a grown-up world who's told of a place far away where anything is possible and is home to the Little Prince. Once there, she discovers the famous Prince is nothing but an adult named Mr. Prince who's voiced by our birthday boy, Paul Rudd.

Ant-Man in the MCU

Last, but certainly not last, is Rudd's most acclaimed character Scott Lang (aka Ant-Man). In a need for money to gain visitation rights for his daughter Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson), Lang took on the Ant-Man suit given to him by Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), using his powers for good, joining Captain America's team in Captain America: Civil War (2016), and becoming an Avenger.

His last appearance has been in Avengers: Endgame (2019) with an announced personal film titled Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2022).

Happy Birthday Paul Rudd and thank you for these iconic characters over the years.
