The SNL star and producer are teaming up for a series about Davidson's life.

Pete Davidson has made the news again, only this time, it's not for his relationship.

The SNL breakout is set to star in a series about his life where he will play a fictionalized version of himself. Bupkis will be co-written by Davidson, and will give viewers an inside look into his personality through his anecdotes and raunchy storytelling.

The series is being produced by Davidson's own Saturday Night Live boss, Lorne Michaels, and his Broadway Video and Universal Television company.

The outlet says about the show,

“'Bupkis' is a raw, unflinching, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life. It will include a mixture of grounded storytelling with absurd elements depicting an unfiltered view through Pete’s eyes.”

The team has pitched to several major streaming services, including Amazon and Peacock, framing it with a Curb Your Enthusiasm vibe. Several A-listers are also reportedly in talks with Davidson for a role in the series.

This is not the first time Michaels has produced for one of his cast members. His resume also includes Aidy Bryant’s Shrill, Cecily Strong’s Schmigadoon!, Michael Che’s That Damn Michael Che, and the Bust Down with Chris Redd.

Davidson is currently in his eighth season at SNL, though he's taking a break to film his upcoming thriller, The Home, where he plays a maintenance worker at a nursing home who uncovers secrets about his life and upbringing. Filming began for the project in January, and a release date has yet to be announced.

As it's too early in the production process, Bupkis also has yet to announce a release date, along with any other details about the series. Either way, Davidson promises to be just as raw and funny as audiences expect.
