Meghan McCain and husband Ben Domenech welcomed their baby girl on Monday evening with the patriotic name of Liberty.
The news came at an interesting timing with the first presidential debate airing tonight. As the daughter of the late John McCain, McCain is extremely outspoken about her beliefs where she serves as the Republican commentator on The View.

McCain joined The View back in 2017 and spoke out about the bittersweet timing of her pregnancy at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
She is joined by co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines who are all smiles about the news.
McCain originally announced the news of her birth on Instagram.

Many fans were especially excited for McCain's pregnancy announcement after she experienced a miscarriage in 2019. The political columnist was very honest about her personal life and spoke out about the stigma and guilt surrounding her experience. She mentioned the shame that she felt as a woman of being pregnant and working simultaneously.
The public figure also spoke out against the double standard placed on pregnant women who are pressured about returning to work post-baby.
