'Prey' Just Dropped Its First Trailer

Prey | Official Trailer | Hulu

The first trailer for "Prey" dropped today and it looks like it's going to be an exciting installment in the "Predator" franchise.

The trailer shows the Comanche Nation 300 years in the past facing off against The Predator.

"Prey" will follow a young woman named Naru, played by Amber Midthunder, a highly skilled warrior who sets out on a mission to protect her people from the terrifying, ruthless and sneaking "Predator."

This 20th Century film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and written by Patrick Aison of "Jack Ryan."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film's creators have stated that they are committed to creating an accurate portrayal of the Comanche, a Native American equestrian nomadic nation whose territory comprised the southern Great Plains.

To ensure the film's accuracy and authenticity, there are a lot of Native Americans working on the project, such as Jhane Myers, a Native Comanche as one of the film's producers. And the cast is made up almost entirely of Native and First Nations talent, including Midthunder, newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp, Michelle Thrush and Julian Black Antelope. The movie also stars Dane DiLiegro as The Predator.

"Prey" is coming straight to Hulu on August 5!
