Youtube Originals announced the exiting lineup for Youtube Pride 2021, which includes celebrity hosts singers Demi Lovato and Olly Alexander, legendary drag queen Trixie Mattel, and Youtubers Mawaan Rizwan and Daniel Howell.

All emcees will be hosting from their Youtube channels, while Tyler Oakley, Kim Chi, Monet X Change, Peppermint and Denali Foxx are also to make guest appearances.

Lovato came out as non-binary in late May 2021, while Mattel, Alexander, Rizwan, and Howell are openly gay. All have discussed how their marginalized identities have caused them mental health struggles in today's society, raising awareness for fans to seek help if needed, hence their involvement in Youtube Pride.

The several hour livestream event, consisting of "musical performances, giving challenges, special guests, live moments and much more," is to use the #GiveWithPride donation campaign to raise funds for The Trevor Project, a suicide prevention program for the LGBTQ+ community, and akt, a UK based charity of LGBTQ+ homeless youth. Viewers are encouraged to participate by submitting videos "sharing stories of pride, questions for the hosts and more" with select entries being featured in the livestream.

If the fundraising goal is met, creators including PatrickStarr, Gigi Gorgeous, Elle of the Mills, The Fitness Marshall, Jackson Bird, Alannized, Jessie Paege, KingOfReads, and Jade Fox will perform a "stunt video" to reward audiences '(think: bleaching hair, recreating viral dance videos, or getting a tattoo).'

YouTube Music and YouTube Gaming are also playing their part in raising mental health awareness for the LGBTQ+ community through a "Celebrating Pride" playlist and a worldwide Minecraft competition. Youtube's homepage also features a playlist consisting of "uplifting content with bold and brave conversations from creators sharing their personal journeys to self acceptance."

YouTube Pride 2021 is sponsored by Levi's® and State Farm in the US. It premieres Friday, June 25th, at 12pm Pacific Time.
