In the wake of Buffalo and Uvalde, another mass shooting has rocked the nation.

An attack at a Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois has left at least ten dead and sixty-two injured. While details of the tragic event emerge, many are speaking out about the incident, including the star of "the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," Rachel Brosnahan.

Brosnahan, who grew up in Highland Park, tweeted about the event,

"I grew up in Highland Park and this parade is a highlight of the year for so many families. I'm sick to my stomach every time news like this comes out, but I don't wish the pit in your stomach as you call your family and friends to make sure everyone is okay on anyone. No words."

Brosnahan was not the only prominent figure to speak out following the shooting, nor was she the only one familiar with the area. Singer Richard Marx also grew up in Highland, and said of the massacre,

"I'm actively reaching out to check on the welfare of people I still know there. My heart is always broken by these constant mass shootings no matter where they occur but today I'm extra heartbroken. And extra angry at the senselessness."

As a suburb of Chicago, the Highland Park community also saw support from Chicago Bears player, Darrynton Evans. He tweeted about the event, writing,

"Prayers up for the community of Highland Park. Just sad man. People can't even enjoy a 4th of July Parade any more."
