The Screen Actors Guild Awards, originally scheduled for March 14th of this year, has pushed their show date back to avoid a conflict with the Grammys, who were forced to push their date back due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in the Los Angeles area.
The Grammys, originally slated to be announced on January 31st, rescheduled to the March 14th date the SAG intended to have their award show.

Already postponed once due to the pandemic, this is the second time the SAG has been forced to announce a change in date. The nominations will be released on February 4th, with release eligibility stretching from January 1st, 2020, to February 28th, 2021. In a press release from their website, the SAG was quoted as saying, "Throughout these challenging times, our industry and our union members have proven their creativity and resilience in discovering new methods of storytelling while adapting to new safety protocols and procedures. We embrace that spirit as we re-imagine the SAG Awards with a one-hour special that highlights and expands on our signature".
The event is now a one hour television special that will be simulcast on TNT and TBS on April 4th, at 9 PM EST.
