Skeet Ulrich and Marisol Nichols Say Goodbye
After four seasons, Riverdale fans are saying goodbye to FP Jones and Hermoine Lodge. Both characters have been a part of the series since the premiere and have given a lot to the town of Riverdale.
The two characters have known each other from high school, went their separate ways, and rekindled as their children became good friends. FP is Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) dad and Hermoine is Veronica's (Camila Mendes) mom.
Skeet Ulrich and Marisol Nichols will be missed and fans are heartbroken everywhere. However, as time has passed, new information about season five has been revealed and fans are back on their toes.
Welcome to Riverdale, Tabitha Tate
It was revealed at the end of September 2020, that Erinn Westbrook would be joining the cast of Riverdale as a series regular. If you're a true Gleek you'll recognize Westbrook from her role as Bree (2013) or you may also know Westbrook as Magnolia Barnard in Insatiable (2018-2019).
Toni Brings a Baby to Town
As time in the show has progressed, so have the real lives of the cast members. Over the past year, cast member Vanessa Morgan has gotten married and is now expecting.
With this great news, Morgan took to Instagram to announce that the showrunner and producers of the series were more than happy to write in Morgan's pregnancy into the show. Now, fans can expect a pregnant Toni Topaz and a possible new baby of Riverdale.
Archie Andrews and the Time Jump
Fans don't know too much about what the future looks like for Archie Andrews, played by KJ Apa. Where the show last left off, Archie was having a confusing love affair with his best friend Betty Cooper, that ended in Betty choosing her longtime love interest Jughead Jones.
Based off of the trailers, Archie's longtime love interest, Veronica, discovers the truth during prom and we are uncertain what unfolds afterward.
In an interview on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan, Apa reveals his character's plans on participating in a raid, which may hint at a reunion with Betty.
"I'm not a teenager anymore. My character, Betty Cooper, is working as an FBI trainee, which is very exciting."
Veronica Gekko?
It was revealed a couple of days ago that Chris Mason will be joining the cast of Riverdale as Chad Gekko, Veronica's husband after the time jump.
Mason is known for his roles as Nolan Hotchkiss in Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionsists (2019) and Leo Humphries in Broadchurch (2013-2017).
While Varchie fans are crying everywhere, there is still strong faith that Veronica and Archie will rekindle, as Chad is described as nothing short of horrible.
According to Deadline, Chad is,
"A controlling and jealous husband who works on Wall Street. As an Alpha dog, Chad is threatened by Veronica's life in Riverdale, especially her friendship with Archie."
