Entertainment Weekly confirmed on Wednesday that Naya and Jensen Ackles will be starring in the animated film. Naya completed all of her voice work for her character Catwoman/Selina Kyle before her passing last July.
The two-part project is slated to debut this upcoming spring or summer, with no release date for the second part just yet. The movie is based on the comics of the same name, which ran for 13 issues between 1996 and 1997.
The rest of the cast includes Josh Duhamel as Harvey Dent, Titus Welliver as Carmine Falcone, Billy Burke as James Gordon, David Dastmalchian as Calendar Man, Troy Baker as Joker, and more.
It was previously announced in February that Naya's role in drama series Step Up: High Water would be replaced by actress Christina Milan. The show previously took a break and postponed the third season to rework after Naya's death.
Naya will also be honored at the 32nd GLAAD Media Awards, being held Thursday, April 8. To celebrate her legacy and her iconic character of Santana Lopez, the Glee cast will reunite on the award show and hold a tribute. Former Glee members being featured include Darren Criss, Chris Colfer, Heather Morris, Kevin McHale, and more.
