See Her Celebrity Spotlight: Dove Cameron

Dove Cameron Talks 'Big Nate' & Upcoming Movie With Machine Gun Kelly | Celebrity Page

The actress and singer is busier than ever, but don't call her a "role model"

She's an Emmy-winner, a current Grammy-nominee. She's making music, movies and TV shows. And she's making it all look effortless.

Big Nate on Paramount+ (starting February 17th)

Starting February 17th you can hear Dove as the voice of Ellen Wright in the new Paramount+ animated series: Big Nate, based on the best-selling books.

Vengeance in theaters (July 29th)

It was just announced that Dove's newest movie, Vengeance, will hit theaters July 29th. It is the feature film directorial debut for The Office star B.J. Novak

Schmigadoon! on Apple TV+ (streaming now)

Dove Cameron is one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood. She's currently up for a Grammy-award as part of the cast of Apple TV+'s musical series: Schmigadoon (see our interview with Dove above).

She's working with everyone from B.J. Novak to Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox and Pete Davidson.

During our recent interview she shared about making the upcoming film "Good Morning With A U" which MGK is directing:

He said he had like written the script with me in mind, for a few years now. He was pitching me this crazy idea and he was just like, I want to do this film, and I'm gonna direct it and I have this vision. And the more he spoke about it and the more I witnessed him as a human being, I was like, I absolutely have to be a part of this project.

But despite her success and her days growing up as a literal Disney princess (or Queen in the Descendants to be more exact) Dove doesn't like being called a "role model"...

All I've ever really cared about as an artist is just exploring what I want to do and finding my authentic self and voice. And I think that's like 'role model' enough, rather than being some weird version of what we perceive a role model to be. So I think that the best kind of role models are not picking their work for some curated perceived audience, but rather they're just following their gut and working on what they want to work on.
