After the first widely successful season of “Only Murders in The Building,” fans are expecting season 2 to be even better!

The series follows three strangers-- played by Martin Short, Selena Gomez and Steve Martin-- who are obsessed with true crime and find themselves wrapped up in investigating a real-life crime, themselves.

The second season is rumored to have a musical episode, which Gomez was hesitant to agree to, she told Deadline's "Crew Call" podcast.

"Personally, I want to be kind of careful," Gomez said. "I love being Mabel and I love that she's an extension of me but she isn't necessarily me. Sometimes I worry, not to say that I'm opposed to it in any way shape or form. My worry is that it might turn into the Popstar thing and that's clearly not Mable."

If Gomez does end up singing, then it is also likely that her legendary co-star Steve Martin will accompany her on the banjo.

At the end of podcast, Gomez expressed her full confidence in season two.

“I got nervous. I was like okay how can I top it? How can I do better, and what I've been saying to people genuinely, even to my friends: with my full confidence in my body, this is a millions times better than season one. We've just got our characters down, we really have a well-blended cast, it's really diverse. You're going to be surprised."

Season two of “Only Murders in the Building” premieres June 28 on Hulu.
