Spoiler Alert! Sharon Stone is set to star in the second installment of Kaley Cuoco's The Flight Attendant.

Kaley Cuoco took to Instagram recently to promote her show, The Flight Attendant, and make a big announcement for its second season.

The Emmy-nominated series is set to return to HBO Max for its second installment. Despite its comedic tone, the show tackles heavy subject matters such as alcoholism and family relationships.

Season one saw Kaley Cuoco's character, Cassie, come to terms with her the death of her father, and the relationship between them. Season two will reportedly tackle her relationship with her estranged mother, Lisa, who will be played by Sharon Stone.

Cassie will be living her "best sober life" in Los Angeles when she reunites with Lisa, who was driven away due to Cassie's alcoholism, damaging their relationship. According to the character breakdown, Lisa "no longer has any patience or goodwill to spare" towards her daughter.

Outside of her humanitarian work, Stone is most famous for her femme-fatal roles. As of now, little else about her Flight Attendant character is known, leaving plenty of room for speculation from viewers.

There's set to be a multitude of returning cast members, including guest stars, but the second season will also see the introduction of new series regulars, played by Mo McRae, Callie Hernandez, and JJ Soria. There will also be plenty of new recurring characters, played by Alanna Ubach, Cheryl Hines, Jessie Ennis, Mae Martin, Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera, and Shohreh Aghdashloo.

Season one of the Flight Attendant was nominated for nine Emmy awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Lead Actress for Cuoco. A release date for season two is still far away, but with a star-studded cast, anticipation can only grow among audiences.
