Big Stars Leaving and Returning To Your Favorite Soap Operas

It's time to talk about the latest scoop on our favorite daytime dramas.

Advocate Channel host Jaymes Vaughn talked with Soap Opera Digest Editorial Director Stephanie Sloan for the latest scoop on the biggest soap operas.

Melissa Reeves Leaves Days Of Our Lives

Melissa Reeves, who is known for her role as Jennifer Horton Deveraux in Days Of Our Lives, is leaving the show temporarily due to the coronavirus pandemic. Because of her commute from Nashville to Los Angeles for production, Reeves thought it would be best to opt out of the show when Days Of Our Lives resumed production again.

The woman to take her place? It's none other than Cady McClain, who is known for playing the role of Dixie Cooney Martin in All My Childrenand Rosanna in As The World Turns.

Elizabeth Hendrickson Returns to Y&R

This woman really can do it all. After having a longer than expected maternity leave because of the coronavirus pandemic, Hendrickson is now back on set and filming for Y&R. She welcomed her first baby in late March.

She plays the role of Chloe, who is still pregnant in the series. Now, she gets to be pregnant all over again, but with a pregnancy pad instead.

Stephanie Sloan told us that Elizabeth is "thankful to have a job to go back to, and appreciates everything CBS has done to make it a safe working environment."
