The Warner Bros live action/animated sports comedy film Space Jam starring Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Danny Devito, and various Looney Tunes characters was a box office success in 1996. Its sequel, titled Space Jam: A New Legacy, was announced in 2014, with Lebron James as the protagonist. Other cast members include Don Cheadle as the villain, Zendaya as the voice of Lola Bunny, and Gabriel Iglesias as the voice of Speedy Gonzales. The plot revolves around Lebron James and his son teaming together with Looney Tunes characters in a basketball match to defeat "The Goon Squad", a team of virtual professional basketball players.

The Six Flags event, called 'Space Jam: A New Legacy's Party in the Park After Dark' consisted of many celebrity poses with beloved Looney Tunes characters, such as Tiffany Haddish with Bugs and Lola Bunny and Zedd with Daffy Duck and Sylvester the Cat. There was also a hoops shootout challenge, with LeBron and his wife observing as Tyga made shots.

Space Jam: A New Legacy premieres in both theatres and HBO Max on July 16th, 2021.
