On Tuesday, acclaimed actress Sandra Oh commemorated her fifth decade of existence with a shoutout to some of her past roles and a series of photos on social media.
Oh's career as an actress spans over three decades, having begun with small roles in 1989 and quickly escalated from there. In 2005, she achieved global recognition as Cristina Yang in Grey's Anatomy, a role she performed for nine years and ten seasons before leaving the show in 2014. More recently, she voiced Debbie Grayson in Amazon's Invincible and has starred in Killing Eve as the titular character.
In a post on Instagram, she paid zestful tribute to some of these roles, calling them her "muses". She also offered thanks for some of her earlier characters: Evelyn Lau in The Diary of Evelyn Lau, Jade Li in Double Happiness, and Rita Wu in Arliss. In addition to this, she preemptively praised her starring role as Dr. Ji-Yoon Kim in The Chair, which is scheduled for release on Netflix on August 20th, 2021.
She also thanked her family, friends, and collaborators for supporting her journey, and expressed appreciation for all of the viewers who had watched her various performances over the years.
Oh will return for the fourth and final season of Killing Eve, which is set to premiere in 2022.
