Tamera Mowry-Housley Confirms Departure From 'The Real'

After seven years with the daytime talk show, Mowry-Housley has officially confirmed she will not be returning.

It is difficult to think of the The Real without co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley. However, fans will have to get used to this new normal as the star has decided to exit the show after six seasons.

Mowry-Housley originally co-hosted the show with Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Houghton since 2013. Braxton was fired from the show in 2016 and eventually replaced with comedian Amanda Seales. However, Seales ended up leaving the show just after a short six months.

Mowry-Housley Speaks Out

In her Instagram post announcing her departure, the TV personality wrote:

"For seven years, my home and heart has been at 'The Real.' The friendships that I've made there will last a lifetime, and the people that I've had the blessing to interview have changed my life for the better. I'm so proud of what all the ladies and I have accomplished there, including two well-deserved NAACP Image Awards and a Daytime Emmy. However, all good things must come to an end, and it's with a bittersweet smile that I announce that I am moving on from 'The Real.' To my fellow hosts, I love you, I will miss you, and I will always be there for you. Thank you for teaching me, supporting me, and loving all of me. Sisters forever. I'll be rooting for you, as I look forward to spending more time with my family, pursuing amazing new opportunities, and embarking on the next chapter of my life."

The news regarding her departure came out yesterday, as news broke out that Naya Rivera was confirmed dead after her body was found in Lake Piru. Mowry-Housley shared why she felt the need to speak on it yesterday:

"I had NO intention to talk about this today, especially in light of the news of my dear friend Naya, but now some reports are coming out and I'd rather you hear it from me first."

As for now, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Houghton, and Loni Love still remain co-hosts of the show. Fans cannot wait to see what's to come from Mowry-Housley, as well as what the new dynamic for The Real will be.
