Terry Crews Apologizes Again To Gabrielle Union For 'AGT' And Black Lives Matter Statements

Gabrielle Union calls out Terry Crews during a podcast about his BLM statements and lack of support during AGT.

Gabrielle Union once again has come out with claims against Terry Crews, stating that he did not support her during her America's Got Talent battle against workplace racism and how NBC treated her during her time on the show. In response, Crews publicly apologizes to Union.

Terry Crews' Apology and BLM Criticism

When Union sat down for Jemele Hill's Spotify podcast Jemele Hill Is Unbothered, she was asked about her former AGT host Terry Crews and his statements criticizing the BLM movement. Union said:

"People hit me all day long and are like, what's happening? And the only thing I know for sure is that Terry Crews gets three checks from NBC. So, I don't know if being worried about job stability — which listen, we all know that if you speak up about racism and white supremacy, you absolutely can be shown the door. I don't know if that's the motivation."

As she continued her conversation on the podcast, she noted that Crews did not back her up during her battle with racist treatment on AGT and NBC, claiming he was not on her side throughout her time on the show. The NBC investigation of workplace racism against Union has now been concluded, stating that she was not a victim of discrimination during her time on AGT. In response to a question of whether Crews was an ally, Union said:

"At the end of the day, the work that I am doing to make sure that NBC is a more fair and equitable place of employment will benefit you as well. So it's OK to eat your cereal and let me do my thing and get out of the way. If you're not going to help, then get out of the way. If you don't feel financially comfortable, or spiritually comfortable or you flat out disagree, but at the end of the day he will benefit from a safer, more equitable workplace from what I stuck my neck out to do and got fired for, you know? Instead of actively working against progress."

Thus far, Crews has issued three public apologies to Union regarding this issue via Twitter.
