Tesla was one of the greatest inventors in American history. In this new movie, Tesla is played by Ethan Hawke as the story chronicles his rise to prominence and his rivalry with Thomas Edison. The movie also co-stars Kyle MacLachlan and Jim Gaffigan.

Based on the best-selling novel this is a coming of age drama and stars Riverdale's Lili Reinhart as a high school transfer student who meets an interesting boy on her first day of school.

From the young adult novel of the same name stars Charlie Plummer, Taylor Russell, Andy García, and AnnaSophia Robb.

American Black Film Festival

For even more new films check out this year's American Black Film Festival that's going virtual. The event was supposed take place in Miami Beach, Florida this October, but to had to be moved online because of the pandemic. Superstar Mary J. Blige is still this year's ambassador and most of the programming will be free. The festival runs from August 21-30, 2020.
