Maxim's 'Sexiest Woman Alive' title has been given to actor, dancer, singer, director, and woman of many talents: Teyana Taylor!

The star took to social media yesterday to thank those at the shoot as well as Maxim for welcoming her natural self.

This is exciting news for Teyana as she has been a longtime fan of the magazine.

"I've followed Maxim for a long time and I've always felt like I should be on the cover. So to actually get the call saying they want me on the cover really meant a lot. I was like, what? They want me on the cover? Okay!"

Taylor had a photoshoot and an interview with Maxim where she discussed her move from music to acting and directing. She recently played a role in Coming 2 America, a sequel to Eddie Murphy's 1988 hit, where she blended her acting and dancing talents.

"It was like a dream come true, especially to be a part of something so iconic and so legendary, everything's so surreal."

Taylor also mentioned her upcoming project that focuses on the life of Dionne Warwick, the singer known for "Walk on By" and "Say a Little Prayer".

"I want to make sure she approves everything and is comfortable with everything before we move forward. That was the most important thing for me, to really learn one another and know what it is that she wants, and make sure her story is coming from her own mouth, rather than bringing people in to change her narrative."

The Maxim cover is very exciting for the star and it seems to be an indicator of good things to come in her upcoming projects. Grab an issue of Maxim's Hot 100 to see the fantastic photoshoot and read the full interview.
