Production has officially begun on That ’70s Show spinoff That ’90s Show

Point Place is about to see some updates as it rings in the '90s, and production has officially begun on That '70s Show spinoff That '90s Show as Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith share photos from the set.

Both Rupp and Smith took to Instagram over the weekend to show the first set photos of the production. "What's that in my old 70's Show chair?" wrote Smith alongside a cover page of the pilot script. Over on Twitter, Smith added, "Red and Kitty, teenagers, grunge rock… let's gooooo!"

Rupp shared a similar photo, writing, "And we have started," alongside a picture of her pilot script and nameplate. She also posted the same image to Twitter, tweeting, "Back again. The same but different. So fun."

It has yet to be confirmed whether Leia's parents, the original show stars Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon), will be returning for the series.

The original series was much loved and ran for eight seasons on Fox, featuring nice guy Eric Foreman, sassy Jackie, heartthrob Kelso, rebel Hyde, quirky Fez and girl-next-door Donna.

That '90s Show will also bring back original series creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner, with Rupp and Smith as executive producers, and comes with a 10-episode order from Netflix.

Though we don’t know yet when it will be available to watch, what we do know however, is that the new Point Place group will sure to make their mark amid the changing cultural landscape of the nineties, providing us all with plenty of style inspiration as they do it.
