Here's when to expect the second season of The Boys.

Season one of The Boys ended with a bang last summer, and Amazon Prime Video has just released the premiere date of season two!

A Different Type of Binge

While most streaming services release new seasons of their originals in full, the creators of The Boys have decided to release new episodes weekly. The first three episodes of season two will premiere on September 4th, while the remaining five episodes will come out every Friday to follow, ending October 9th. These dates were announced in a livestream hosted Patton Oswalt, who will appear in the show as a guest-star. On season two, executive producer Eric Kripke says:

"We cannot WAIT to show you season two. It's crazier, stranger, more intense, more emotional. In fact, it's too much - so the Surgeon General has insisted we air the first three episodes on September 4, then air the remaining five episodes weekly after that. We wanted to give you time to freak out, digest, discuss, come down from the high, before we give you another dose. We only have your well-being in mind. Hope you love the season as much as we do."

More Fighting Back

Originally a New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Amazon Prime Video helped bring The Boys to life in July 2019. Starring Karl Urban, Anthony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jack Quaid, Chase Crawford, Aya Cash, and more, the series follows a group of superheroes fighting their way to expose the evil truth of the Supes of The Seven and Vought.

Season one is available now on Amazon Prime Video but be sure to check out the second season on September 4th!
