8018 Hollywood Wrap

What's coming to Netflix, Hallmark, Lifetime and more this holiday season

'Tis the season of holiday movies. The Christmas season is around the corner and here are the holiday movies you don't want to miss. Make sure you have your Christmas pajamas and fuzzy socks ready!

Netflix

Netflix has already released their first holiday movie Holidate. This romantic comedy stars Emma Roberts whose character is the last single one in her family and hates going to holiday parties and being bombarded with questions on why she has not found a man. She gets the clever idea to find a platonic guy friend to take as her date to holiday parties to get people off her back.

We got the chance to speak to Emma Roberts about her new film.

"A holidate, in my opinion, is the thing you need most around the holidays which is a date that's not romantic so everybody will stop asking you about your, you know, personal life or your romantic life."

Netflix also has another Christmas movie coming out soon, Operation Christmas Drop. Kat Graham and Alexander Ludwig star in this military Christmas film. It starts streaming on Netflix on November 5th.

Lifetime

"It's A Wonderful Lifetime" is back and Lifetime has already released a bunch of holiday content. This weekend if you are ready to say goodbye to spooky season then tune in to this weekend's premieres. A Crafty Christmas Romance is premiering on Friday, Candy Cane Christmas on Saturday and The Christmas Aunt on Sunday.

UPTV

UPTV is ready for the holiday season and to provide its viewers with the Christmas movies they are wanting. UPTV's first movie, A Very Country Christmas Homecoming, premieres this Sunday, November 1st.

Freeform

Freeform's "31 Nights of Halloween" is ending this weekend and they have already released the schedule for their "25 Days of Christmas." They will be playing our seasonal favorites non-stop. Be sure to check the schedule so you don't miss a showing of your favorite films.

Hallmark

Hallmark channel is counting down to Christmas by releasing a new holiday movie every Saturday and Sunday night this holiday season. This weekend One Royal Holiday and On The 12th Date of Christmas premiere.

On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries they are doing the "Miracles of Christmas" and releasing original movies. This Saturday they are premiering Cranberry Christmas starring Nikki DeLoach. We spoke to Nikki about her new film.

"It's not often that Hallmark tells the story of a married couple. We meet them at the beginning of the movie and they've been separated for three months and they have to figure out if they want to save their marriage."

It is going to be a movie-filled Christmas with all of this new and classic holiday content coming to our screens.
