Here we go again! Sequels rule the box office this weekend. Will The Equalizer take on Mamma Mia!? Scott Carty breaks it down in this Movie Wrap.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

A decade after the original, the cast of Mamma Mia! returns for an encore. Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, and Amanda Seyfried are joined by new cast members Lily James, Andy Garcia, and Cher in a story that hops between two timelines with Lily James playing the younger version of Meryl Streep's character.

Spoiler alert -- you will get Dancing Queen stuck in your head.

The Equalizer 2

Sequels are rarely groundbreaking, but, since Equalizer 2 is Denzel Washington's first, this may qualify. He returns as Robert McCall, both retired and relentless, delivering justice to those who killed his old friend and colleague.

Will this open the door to future sequels from Denzel? Maybe even a full-blown franchise?
