The New Trailer For Beyoncé's "Black Is King" Film Debuts

BLACK IS KING, a film by Beyoncé | Official Trailer | Disney+

Ever since Beyoncé revealed she would release a visual album, people began to eagerly wait for more news about the Black Is King film. Now, the teaser trailer has finally dropped with Queen Bey, herself, narrating it.

"Black Is King" To Debut On Disney+

Black Is King, as described by Beyoncé, is a passion project she has been working on for a while. She considers the project a labor of love. Featured in the film is her husband and fellow musician, Jay-Z, as well as Pharrell Williams, Lupita Nyong'o, Kelly Rowland, her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and many more.

In an Instagram post, Beyoncé describes the importance of this film for audience's today and why she felt the need to create this project:

"The events of 2020 have made the film's vision and message even more relevant, as people across the world embark on a historic journey. We are all in search of safety and light. Many of us want change. I believe that when Black people tell our own stories, we can shift the axis of the world and tell our REAL history of generational wealth and richness of soul that are not told in our history books. With this visual album, I wanted to present elements of Black history and African tradition, with a modern twist and a universal message, and what it truly means to find your self-identity and build a legacy."

You won't have to wait much longer to watch Black Is King, as it will premiere and stream exclusively on Disney+ starting July 31st!
