The Voice

Last nights battle on The Voice is one for the books as Nick Jonas compares a performer to Queen B and more!

The Voice took on their second round of battles last night with many steals and saves in action, but sadly someone always has to go.

Kelly Clarkson was not in attendance as she had gotten sick the week for he performance tapings, but no fear, Kelsea Ballerini filled into her spot with no problem.

Judges Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Blake Shelton and John Legend all set out their team members to battle in the rein for success.

Each team had their own break down of how their night went so lets see what all they did.

Team Blake: Came Anthony and Emma Caroline - "10,000 Hours" By Dan + Shay Ft. Justin Bieber

Blake Shelton had chosen this match up of his R&B singer, Cam Anothony and his country singer Emma Caroline as he thought they would kill the country/pop mashup song. It couldn't have been a better set up as Dan + Shay are on Blake's team as advisors helping the singers with the song. During the rehearsals everything had gone to plan, even giving the country singers chills. But, in the real deal Caroline had got lost in the shuffle as Cam took the lead of the performance.

Cam Anthony won the performance and Blake had saved Emma Caroline moving her to the four-way performance that represents Sheltons team.

Team Kelly: Halley Greg and Gihanna Zoë - "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran

Kelly had chose these two singers as their vibes are completely different, but could bring an awesome light to the song. "Thinking Out Loud" is a song Clarkson believes is something every genre of music can sing too. Gihanna and Halley took the stage and gave a stunning performance, but the judges said Gihanna had blown the song out of the water. Halley did get praise for hitting an amazing high note.

The winner of the battle was Gihanna Zoë and there were no steals or saves made!

Team Legend: Zania Alaké and Durell Anthony - "Emotions" by The Bee Gees

John Legend is not one to make a bad choice, as he chose the perfect song for the two artists to sing after watching a documentary on The Bee Gees. The two artists took to the stage and performed like they never have before b=making the decision for John extremely difficult. Each artists had their own unique differences in the song that the judges had a hard time trying to compare to each other.

The winner ended with Zania Alaké and there was no saves or steals available.

Team Nick: Zake Romeo and Lindsay Joan "Rewrite the Stars"  from The Greatest Showman

Nick Jonas went all in putting these two artists together. Darren Criss, the team advisor, had said that the two are amazing singers on their own, but are having trouble being in one song together. No fear, the on stage performance was nothing short of amazing. The coaches had trouble deciding who they would pick for this one.

Zae Romeo ended up taking the win for this one and there were no steals or saves available.

Team Kelly: Corey Ward and Savanna Woods, "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac

In the beginning Kelly did not have a true reason for this match up, but by the end of the performance she had learned she really made the right choice. The two were praised for working well together,. but as the performance rolled out some judges had to comment on their pitching issue in the middle of the song. The judges were torn but, Nick and John were drawn to Corey.

Corey took the win, but Kelly decides to save savanna and will representing the team in a four way knock out.

Team Blake: Jordan Matthew Young and Keegan Ferrell, "Calling All Angels" by Train

The pair had been matched up without any rhyme or real reason. Both of the performers had performed well, but there was some disconnect between the chemistry Jordan has been a performer for most of his life as Keegan is taking the stage leaving it much more engaging for the audience. The two battled it out on stage, but Jordan was just overall suited for the song. The judges found Keegans voice great but Jordan had to spark on stage.

The winner ended up being Jordan Matthew Young, Nick Jonas chose to steal Keegan to join his team.
