The Weeknd, the biggest artist in the world right now and the son of Ethiopian immigrants, has donated $1 million to the millions of Ethiopians left homeless by the conflict between the government and the Tigray People's Liberation Front.

Amid a conflict over government authority in the Tigray region, over 2 million people have left their homes to avoid fighting, leaving countless people homeless and with no manner of income.

The Weeknd's donation will go directly to the UN's World Food Programme, which will pay for over 2 million meals alone. If you'd like to donate, the link to help is right here, or in the singer's Instagram bio.
