The Long Island Medium is bringing much-needed healing.

Theresa Caputo is known for channeling loved ones on her hit series Long Island Medium.

Now, the reality star is focusing on the devastating events of 9/11 in a brand new special.

"This special was the most amazing thing that I've ever done in my life, besides have my children. Every person that lost someone in 9/11 or was affected by it... they have to relive the loss of their loved ones in detail," Caputo said.

Audiences will see Theresa visit the sites of the terror attacks and meet with the families of those who were killed.

"I get emotional just thinking about it. It was such a powerful moment for me to be there and the fact that they trusted me with the souls of their departed loves ones is just amazing."

The events of 9/11 also made a huge impact in Theresa's personal life and helped her embrace her gift as a medium.

"9/11 was the turning point for me accepting my gift. That was the moment where I put my gift in God's hands. Even after all these years of doing what I do, they blow my mind on their ability to communicate and give us the gift of peace and more importantly, especially now, the gift of faith and hope."

Long Island Medium: In Memory of 9/11 airs September 9th on TLC and streams on Discovery+.
