Titus Makin is standing up for injustice on screen, in the streets and in the studio.

On the third season of The Rookie, the star stood up to racism in the LAPD as Officer Jackson West on the ABC drama. The star has also used his voice to showcase all of his beliefs and growth under his musical persona, Butterfly Ali.

"We've been sitting on all of these songs for so long. We're in a place where we finally get to be like, world, here is the peek into how I feel about love, how I feel about racial injustice, how I feel about myself... loving myself. I've always been so inspired by artists who are left of center. This is the reality of all the colors of who I am," Ali said.

Ali's latest single, "Testimony," is available now. His debut EP, Preacher's Kid, premieres June 11th.
